Non-profit All-Inclusive – Guidelines

A free toolbox for those who want to start or develop a non-profit association or movement

  • Do you want to create change, but feel like you lack the tools to know how to get started?

  • Are you already involved in a newly started non-profit organization or movement, but lack the knowledge of how to grow?

Then NoPAI – Startup / Levelup Cycle Guidelines is for you!

This is a free, practical guide that will help you step by step to:

  • start,

  • structure and develop a non-profit organization or social movement.

  • It is free to use and available to everyone, is adapted primarily for Sweden and Latvia and developed through the project Non-profit All-Inclusive (Erasmus+ 2024–2025).

What do the Guidelines include?

You receive concrete tools, simple instructions and inspiring exercises that will help you::

  • Develop ideas and strategies with creative methods like Neurographica.

  • Understand target groups and communication adapted to non-profit contexts.

  • Keep track of the necessary formal steps to start a non-profit association.

  • Explore different funding options for your initiative.

  • Make your solution tangible with exercises in problem solving and project structure.

  • Go from idea to reality – transform your commitment into a sustainable initiative.

Who are the Guidelines for?

  • Young adults in Sweden and Latvia who want to get involved in civil society but don't know how to get started.

  • Young people who are already active in newly started associations or social movements, and who want to develop their activities but lack concrete tools and structures.

  • People who work with young people in civil society, for example as supervisors, leaders in organizations or projects, and who are looking for pedagogical methods and tools to support young people in their engagement.

  • Anyone who shares the vision of a more inclusive and active civil society, and who wants simple, practical resources to help ideas and initiatives grow – whether in the role of mentor, project manager or enthusiast in a movement.

Whether you're just starting out or already committed – this toolkit will help you step up your engagement.

The toolkit is created for young people in both Sweden and Latvia, which means that the document itself is in English. However, the content is easy to follow and is supplemented with instructional videos and guides – either with Swedish/Latvian voice and text documents, or with subtitles for the videos that are in English.

About the project
Non-profit All-Inclusive (NoPAI) was an Erasmus+ KA2 small-scale partnership in the field of youth project between Non-profit Marketing in Sweden (IMIS) and Miromida (Latvia).
